Overview

Dr. Chris Riggs, PT, DPT is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Tarleton State University. He holds certification in point-of-care ultrasound and is an Army Veteran who previously served as Section Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Department of Veterans Affairs.


At Tarleton, Dr. Riggs’ primary focus is teaching clinical imaging. He is currently developing an ultrasound program for both teaching and research applications within the department.


Dr. Riggs is also working closely with the anatomy program to develop relationships with cadaver labs in the region to facilitate cadaveric research studies. These partnerships will expand research opportunities for faculty and students while advancing evidence-based practice in musculoskeletal and diagnostic imaging.
