Dr. Castanuela teaches multiple courses within the DPT curriculum at Tarleton State University. His expertise is within orthopaedic physical therapy practice. Prior to transitioning to academia, he practiced at a rural hospital-based outpatient clinic in Eastland, Texas treating a wide variety of patient diagnoses across the lifespan including orthopaedics, sports, post-surgical, acute care, and wound care. His research interests include rural health and post-surgical rehabilitation.
