Assistant Professor
My current role is Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Tarleton State University, Stephenville Campus. The role began August 19, 2021.
Tenure track position II, which includes primary focus on teaching twenty four hours of courses annually, during fall and spring semesters, and expected to remain active in scholarly activities according to the Department of Criminal Justice tenure and promotion requirements.
Instructor
Instructor of Criminal Justice, January 2014 through August 2021, Tarleton State University, Department of Criminal Justice.
Duties include as visiting instructor:
- Attending recruiting drives
- Participating in Tarleton Orientation
- Advising incoming freshmen
- Assist in Texan Tours
- Assistant advisor to Criminal Justice Association
- Selected to participate in College of Liberal and Fine Arts Tenure and Promotion committee
- Advise undergraduate B.S. students
- Assistant Coordinator for upcoming Tarleton Police Academy
- Participate in Tarleton Police Academy advisory board committee
- Recruiting for Study Abroad in conjunction with Social Sciences Department
- Provide Blackboard and Canvas learning platform assistance to adjunct professors as needed and provide support for adjunct professors with various academic support roles
- Mentor students who need help with other classes
- Teach students in living and learning communities
- Help explore options for Applied Learning Experience courses (ALE)
- Provide support for other faculty members with various technical assistance.

Program Specialist for B.A.A.S.
Tarleton State University, Department of Criminal Justice, December 2010-December 2014. This position was a part-time and regular duty was a Tarleton Police Officer.
Duties of Program Specialists:
- Assist peace officers
- active duty or honorably discharged military, dispatchers, correctional officers, and other criminal justice professionals in obtaining a bachelors degree.
- Advise incoming and current students for the BAAS degree.
- Administered the Peace Officer Exemption program.
- Attend recruiting events around the state to promote Tarleton and the BAAS/MCJ programs.
- Responsible for the BAAS program fee and deposit program fees.
- Perform various departmental duties as needed by the department head.
- Help coordinate job fair for criminal justice.
- Served on Interdisciplinary Committee.
