He holds a doctoral degree in Public Affairs with a concentration in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Korotchenko is an experienced attorney, having practiced law in both Russia and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His primary goals are to produce high-quality research that provides law enforcement with empirical knowledge on the effectiveness of police tools and to establish evidence-based strategies enhancing the effectiveness of police work and helping the police gain and maintain community trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Korotchenko has conducted research evaluating the effectiveness of automated police data sharing and analyzing the differential effects of spatial crime predictors on violent victimization among various demographic groups. Most recently, he applied his expertise in police technology to conduct the first survey study on how police practitioners use generative artificial intelligence in their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Korotchenko\u2019s research has been published in journals such as <em>Crime &amp; Delinquency<\/em>, <em>Journal of Quantitative Criminology<\/em>, and <em>Victims &amp; Offenders<\/em>.
