Assistant Professor of AI & ML<\/h3>\n

Tarleton State University, Computer Science & Electrical Engineering<\/strong> \u00b7 September 2025 to present
\nTeaches graduate and undergraduate courses in AI, reinforcement learning and computer science. Develops new curricula, supervises students, and leads research on cyber-physical systems security, AI optimization, reinforcement learning deployment and smart-grid resilience.<\/p>\n

Senior Research Engineer I and Lab Manager<\/h3>\n

Texas A&M University<\/strong> \u00b7 December 2024 to August 2025
\nLed research on large-scale electric power systems, including cyber-physical modeling, simulation and testbed emulation for stability analysis, and grid resilience against high-impact, low-frequency events. Mentored students, coordinated with industry partners, and supported research funding through proposal writing.<\/p>\n

Postdoctoral Researcher<\/h3>\n

Texas A&M University at Qatar<\/strong> \u00b7 February 2022 to November 2024
\nContributed to three awarded projects on machine learning for smart-grid stability, federated learning for EV battery health prognostics, and power system stability for a resilient next-generation grid. Mentored Ph.D. and undergraduate students.<\/p>\n

Researcher<\/h3>\n

Texas A&M University at Qatar<\/strong> \u00b7 March 2019 to January 2022
\nDeployed machine learning and deep learning algorithms for energy management, contributed to five awarded projects, and mentored a student team applying deep reinforcement learning and generative adversarial networks to electricity price forecasting.<\/p>\n

Iberdrola Innovation Middle East<\/strong> \u00b7 September 2019 to January 2022
\nCarried out a three-year industry research project on smart-grid dynamic control and management with big data platforms, including big data analytics for electric utilities and distributed computing.<\/p>\n

Power Sun Energy Company<\/strong> \u00b7 August 2018 to February 2019
\nAnalyzed and prepared photovoltaic public bids and supervised construction sites.<\/p>\n
