Gonzalez Ethics Award<\/strong>, the FBI\u2019s highest ethics award presented to one of the Bureau\u2019s 35,000+ employees for \u201cunwavering ethical standards, professional ideals, and reputation for organizational integrity.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FBIHQ, Counterterrorism Division \u2013 FBI | 2012-2013 (TDY 18 month assignment)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assigned to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as a Senior Detailee to the Counterterrorism Center (CTC) at CIAHQ, Langley, VA, over a year of which was as an acting Deputy Director of CTC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Played a key role in building coalitions, establishing collaborative partnerships, sharing information\/resources, and overcoming cultural barriers on shared initiatives between the agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regularly briefed the CIA Director, senior CIA management, and senior FBI management on details regarding ongoing investigations, intelligence operations, and other matters related to protecting the homeland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisted in managing numerous overseas renditions and joint operations &#8211; managed communication on sensitive counterterrorism matters\/investigations and responses to active threats\/incidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipient of the <strong>George Bush Award for Excellence in Counterterrorism<\/strong> \u2013 The CIA\u2019s highest counterterrorism award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supervisor of North Texas Joint Terrorism Task Force | 2006-2012<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>(Concurrent Collateral duty as SWAT Program Supervisor)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Directly supervised over 30 personnel and led numerous high profile terrorism investigations and classified intelligence operations in partnership with other federal law enforcement agencies, local and state police, other US intelligence community members, and DoD partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hossam Smadi and Khalid Aldawsari were two notable investigations managed during this time. The Smadi case was featured in an episode of the American Heroes Channel show FBI Takedowns, and the Aldawsari case will be featured in the Netflix series Terrorism Close Calls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SWAT Program Supervisor<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managed the integration of the SWAT Program into the Division\u2019s mission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervised 86 SWAT operations, routine training and team selection, and served as the Tactical Subcommittee chairman for Super Bowl XLV in Dallas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successfully managed competing supervisor responsibilities of the concurrent JTTF and SWAT positions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dallas Division \u2013 Associate Division Counsel | 2003-2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Served as the Deputy to the Chief Division Counsel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Iraq Deployments \u2013 two five-month Temporary Duty Assignments (TDY) | 2004-2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2005 \u2013 Served as Deputy On-Scene Commander in Baghdad as the senior FBI manager of the war crimes investigations of the Saddam Hussein Regime.
